Dear Frank, Marti, and Dick,

I have many warm memories of your Mom--Aunt D J to me--both from long ago gatherings in Kansas City and visits in Colorado. She was great about staying connected to her nieces and nephews and so proud of all of you. She was a sweet woman who lived a long and satisfying life--mastering emailing easier than I did! I still have some of her recipes which were passed on to me by my Mom, your Aunt Ferne.
Heartfelt condolences to you all.

Marti,
I was with your mother only once in the valley. She and I had lovely conversations at that time. We talked a couple of times on the phone, too, when I was at the villa and she called and was looking for you. But, what I remember the most is the Hannukah card she created on the computer and sent to me.

I knew her through the Nutrition Camp School Foundation. She also shared her recipe for Ranger Cookies with me - which are still a family favorite. I hope for strength and comfort for her friends and family during this difficult time.
