Dorothy Herrmann Obituary

Dorothy Herrmann, 89, of Security passed away July 1st at Pikes Peak Hospice after a lengthy battle with cancer with her family at her side. Dorothy was one of eight children born to John and Grace Landrum in Maize, KS. She was preceded in death by Sammy, her husband of 55 years whom she married in Newton, KS on May 29, 1937. They moved to Colorado in 1960. She worked for the US Postal Service for over 30 years. She spent the remainder of her years loving and caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed bingo and family game night and was an avid Rockies fan. She is survived by her brother, Jay Dee Landrum of Wichita, KS and her 6 children, Doris Jean Martell, Dorothy Joan Grime, Diane Judy Roberts, Joe Herrmann, Sammy (Pete) Herrmann, and David Herrmann, 18 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Visitation will be Tuesday July, 5 from 5:00-8:00 PM at the Dove Witt Mortuary, 6630 S Hwy 85/87 in Fountain. Services will be held at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, 1201 Leta Dr. in Security on Wednesday July, 6 at 1:30 PM.

I am so sorry. I only heard about this a few months ago. I grew up with your Mom; she was part of my life from 2nd grade on. I tried to call but couldn't find a phone number that worked. Please call me when you can at (303)933-6011.
