Another year has come and gone without your presence. I still know your are near and are leading me on this life's journey. Today again I saw many baby butterflies which let's me know you brought others with you along the way. They come and stay for a little while and then move on to help others in need. We love and miss you each and every day.

Hello, it's me again. I saw so many butterflies this week. I sent a special message to heaven with them to whisper in your ear. The time goes by so fast and I find myself thinking more and more of you each day. The time will come for us to see each other face to face. I love and miss you more as the days go on.

To my darling Mother,
This was the six year anniversary that God called you home to be with him. My heart is still heavy as I think about you each day and I still miss you so much. Today as I sat outside, I asked God for a sign that you were still with me and the most beautiful butterfly appeared and landed on the chair next to me; it stayed for just a little while and then flew away at that moment the butterfly flew away, I know that you are still with me and always will be with me in my heart. There is so much that I miss about you each day, and every now and than I hear your voice calling my name or I get a very strong smell of your favorite perfume and I know that you are near. I love you and miss you dearly!

Another mothers day, another birthday and another year has come and gone. Today marks the fifth anniversary that God called you to be with him. He took our closest friend and left us with a broken heart that we know will never mend. As we sit around the table, we cherish the memories that we all have of you, and there are days when we feel you very near joining in the laughter of those special memories of you. Our love for you will always be molded within our hearts today, and tomorrow where it will remain forever more.

Another mother's day and birthday has come and gone I know you celebrated them both with Jesus this year. It has been two years since God called you home to be in his arms. I called your work voice mail this morning just to hear your voice. I miss you so much. Losing you has changed my life forever. I know your near by. I smell your perfume from time to time. I love you.

I am so saddened at the loss of Dorothy Palmer, but I KNOW she is in the amazing presence of JESUS - PRAISE THE LORD GOD!
I met Dorothy at Doherty High School through my children, Cary, Tara, and Keith Hittle attending Doherty.
Since Tara Hittle and Keith Hittle were heavily into the Doherty Sports, I saw A LOT of Dorothy (who was in charge of collecting the tickets at the sports events). This is where I had the pleasure of getting know her and having wonderful chats with her.

I was so impressed with Dorothy having 8 children and how she determined to raise them with strong Godly standards, in spite of the fact that she had to do it alone, as her husband had prematurely passed away (I also am from a family of 8 children and from a strong Christian home, so we had some things in common).

I would bring Dorothy one of her favorite drinks to the Doherty games - Jamba Juice's "Pina Colada" - so she had something to enjoy while collecting the tickets!

I feel VERY BLESSED to have known Dorothy, and also had the GREAT PLEASURE of seeing her most recently ALL DRESSED UP in a beautiful gown and FULL OF JOY, along with her beautiful daughter, for an event at the Hotel Elegante. What "Divine Providence" that I was to be able to see and chat with Dorothy one last time.

Dorothy is SO MISSED by SO MANY who love her! May GOD warmly comfort Dorothy's precious family and many they cherish the precious memories.

Another night missing you. I know time heals all but the pain is indescribable. I look for you in my dreams and hope to just get some reassurance that your ok. I just can't accept that your not a phone call away. I love you more that you'll ever know. I'm so grateful that I had you and you had me.

I never realized how much I would miss you. I miss your voice and laughter and your smile. So many of us are so lonely without you. Please stay near and comfort us. We never imagined life without you. So to know that we can't call you or see you is so hard to accept. You have left a great impression on our lives forever. I love you always and forever.

Mrs. Palmer was one of my Favorite people at Doherty. I just loved her stories, her jewelry, her outfits, and that quick wit...I can still hear her..."ain't nobody got time for that". Rest in Peace my Dear olé Friend! ?

I have just returned home from a two week vacation and my heart is so heavy. One of the most difficult decisions I've had to make in many years was to continue with my trip after hearing of Mother Palmers death. what a great great woman who I had taken as mother. Your smile, grace and of course those fabulous hats will be really missed. I had no idea when I kissed your cheek on June 06,2014 that it would be for the last time. One of our last conversations we talked about family and how important it is to value your family and not let little things keep us apart. You mentioned your funeral during that conversation, I just didn't think it would be this soon. One of Gods true Jewels called home. Praying for the entire family, Caleese I will be by to see you soon.

Words can not express the sorrow I feel for you and your family. Please take comfort and knowing that Mother Palmer is in a better place.

Mrs Palmer was a kind, caring, and compassionate person. The world has lost a jolly soul. It was hard to be in her company without sharing laughter. Her beautiful smile and loving ways will be missed by all.

You will be missed very much Miss Palmer. I know you are in good hands with the lord.

Mrs. Palmer was the heart of Doherty. She always had a kind word to say. She did so many things for the school that went unseen, but were so meaningful for the students. We will always miss her hugs and her asking about our daughter. Our condolences to her family. I am hopeful that they can take comfort in knowing that Dorothy left a positive legacy that will not be forgotten.

I will always remember the very real love that Dorothy Palmer shared. We sat on the same pew during the last 5th Sunday, Women's Day (June 29th). I will never forget her laughter as we struggled to get our sound as "altos" correct in the Women's Choir. Whatever sound we made was a JOYFUL NOISE! I, like many others, will miss her quiet demeanor, full of happiness.

Mrs. Palmer was a kind, loving and devoted lady who's presence at DHS was recognized and appreciated. I remember her as my Pom-Pon squad advisor in '88 & '89. She endured long practices and crazy teen-aged girls. I am so grateful for her and her loving spirit! RIP.

I graduated from Doherty in 2003. I remember Mrs. Palmer telling me I WAS going to go to prom when I decided not to go as I was 7 months pregnant. She supported me my entire pregnancy and made prom happen for me by setting up a hair and nail appointment and many other generous givings. I will always remember her doing that for me and cherish her forever! Prayers to the Family!

I met Mrs. Palmer in 1986 and instantly I had met a wonderful and loving mother figure. I was fortunate to have served as Ashanti Club President for her and was able to see her once again 2012. The love that she gave each student that ever met her was the kind of love that made you feel that you were her family and you know what...you were! My heart is truly broken!!! I received a call that Mrs Palmer who has always been like a grandmother to me, has passed!!! She has been such a HUGE support to me as a young lady growing up, as a wife (when I was a wife), and as a mother!!! Even a great grandmother to my children!!! I remember when I struggled as a teenager for a short time I even lived with her! There was never anything she would not do for her MeMe!! My heart is so heavy I can't stop crying! I just sent her pictures of me and my children on Mother's Day!!! Why is she gone!!!??? It's not fair!!!!! I'm so mad!!!! I'm really upset that I'm not able to be in Colorado!!!! I worked in District #11 for over 40 yrs. & met & worked with many fine people but Dorothy Palmer stands alone when it comes to her huge heart & kindness & respect for other people. Having worked with several of her children, I know she instilled great values in them. I will miss her wonderful sense of humor, friendship & kindness. My deepest condolences to all her family. Ms. Palmer, the last thing you said to me on your last day of work this year was "lets go to Cripple Creek this summer" To one of the kindest people I have ever known. Dorothy loved my kids and always asked for "my baby Jason" Dorothy was there with a smile and always made you feel special. The world was a better place with Dorothy Palmer in it. I met Dorothy while working security at Doherty High. She was one of the most kind, friendly & wise people I have ever known & I really enjoyed talking & working with her! She was loved & respected by both students & staff! May her memory, & God's help, provide comfort & peace to her family during this very difficult time!

To one of he finest women I know. She kept an eye on my children that attended Doherty and was a loved dental patient where I worked for Wayne Selting, D.D.S. I will surely miss her.

Ms. Palmer was one of those people you just loved being around because of the love that just oozed from her. I will miss her terribly! To her family, I am so sorry for your tremendous loss. I worked with her for 11 years and one of my favorite things was to listen to her tell stories about her 'sassy grandbabies.' I will be praying for you all.

I can not believe that I'll never hear your voice again or hear you laugh. It's so hard to believe that your gone forever. I just don't know how to live without you. I have so many memories of you. I will always remember our Sunday talks and how we would stay on the phone for hours. I truly love you and I took you for granted. I'm so sorry that I wasn't there to tell you goodbye. You taught me to have faith and to accept God's will and I'm trying to understand why he took you. I love you Granny... forever... And always!
