Dorothy C. Sonnenberg passed away peacefully September 20, 2017 in her home after a long illness.
Ms. Sonnenberg was born November 11, 1935 in Horry County, SC. After graduating high school she joined the United States Air Force. She moved to Colorado Springs in 1964. After leaving the Air Force she enjoyed success as a mortgage loan secretary, insurance agent and agency manager. For the past 30 years, Dorothy was the owner and manager of Sonnenberg Properties. She was a very kind and generous woman who was faithful in supporting many local charities. She enjoyed painting, sewing, crocheting, crossword puzzles and getaway visits to Cripple Creek.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, Todd Alexander. She was preceded in death by husband Leslie Sonnenberg and 3 sons, Jeff, Doug and Michael Adams.
With respect for Dorothy's wishes, no services will be held.
