Dorris Higbee Obituary

Maurine was born in Edison, Colorado to J. H. and Coral Gahart, and lived her entire life in Colorado. After graduating from Fountain High School, she married Dale Higbee (deceased), and lived in various communities in western Colorado before moving to Canon City in 1987. Her final years were spent in Colorado Springs. Maurine will be remembered for her cheerful, fun-loving spirit, her enjoyment of music and cooking, and her love to her family. She is survivved by her brothers, LaVern Gahart (Marge) of Alexandria, VA., Ben Gahart (Ilse) of Colorado Springs, and Ron Gahart (Betsy) of Bridgeton, NJ; daugters Sandra Pribble (Delbert) of Grand Junction, CO, Vicki Sallie (Vern) of Colorado Springs, Richard Higbee of Santa Fe, NM, three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Friday, Sept. 24 at 2:30 p.m. at Lakeside Cemetary in Canon City.
