Douglas Paul Brewer passed away on November 6, 2024 after being hospitalized with sepsis from an e. coli infection. He was born on October 22, 1974 in Colorado Springs. He spent 15 years working in finance as a Senior VP at various banks. He was proud of his published book, "5 Mummified Cats from the Westside." Doug is survived by his wife, Vanessa Garman, whom he married on December 5, 2019. They loved to travel. Vanessa will remember Doug as brilliant, passionate, philosophical and talented in writing, orating, and photography. He will always be her darling husband and the love of her life. She will cherish their experiences together and is eternally grateful for his love and devotion. Doug is survived by his sister Melinda and her husband Randall who will both remember him for his sensitive and caring heart. Melinda will miss hearing Doug's reassurance, "All will be well," and receiving songs and quotes from him. Also survived by nieces Aubrey and Olivia, nephew Zach, in-laws Marilyn and Jess, friend Todd, and a son and daughter. Everyone will remember Doug for his love of music, array of knowledge, and sense of humor. Preceded in death by his brother, Mike, whom he shared many mutual interests such as Star Trek, motorcycles, and deep-thinking. Doug will be forever missed by those who loved and supported him unconditionally. A Celebration of Life will be held on December 5, 2024 by private invitation.

My deepest condolences to Vanessa, Melinda and his children.
Doug Brewer will always hold a special place in my heart. I had the pleasure of assisting Doug in commercial banking for many years. There was never a dull moment working alongside Doug with his funny and corky personality. Doug use to call me El Torro ( like the bull) which always made me laugh, and ended conversations with "good talk". Rest in peace my friend, you will always be remembered!

Im so sorry for your loss Vanessa. Doug and I worked together and shared some good times! The world was definitely a better place when Doug was in it and he will be missed. I am thankful Doug is home with our Heavenly Father and thankful that families are eternal so we can all be together again. I know Doug is with his brother now.
