Douglas Luttrell Obituary

LUTTRELL Douglas Hugh Luttrell December 4, 1952 ~ August 11, 2008 What matters most of all is the dash between the years. Doug passed unexpectedly in his home the morning of August 11th. The eldest of five sons, Doug was born in 1952 in Toledo, Ohio, to Hugh E Luttrell and Verna L Lawrence. He graduated from Bedford High School in Temperance, Michigan after lettering in Football, Wrestling and Track, and went on to marry his high school sweetheart. He is survived by his mother, Verna L Luttrell, 3 brothers: Bradley, Richard, and Rodney, his children: Heather and Matthew, and his devoted dog, Prence. Doug moved to Colorado in 1984. He loved the mountains and open roads, and when not working hard as an ASE Certified Automotive Technician, he could be found enjoying the beauty of Colorado on anything with 2 wheels. The son of a builder, Doug could build or fix almost anything. Doug had a big heart, and was devoted to volunteering and fundraising for charities, through events put on by the Pikes Peak Harley Owners Group Chapter 405 and the MS 150. He will be dearly missed every day. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday August 17, 2008. A memorial ride will begin at the Pikes Peak Harley Davidson 5867 N. Nevada at noon, and will meet up with bicyclists at the Garden of the Gods Trading Post. All are welcome, and there is a BBQ following the ride. Call 719-499-1635 for more information.
