DOUG AND I WERE A CLOSE BOND
WE MET IN HIGH SCHOOL AND
PLAYED IN BANDS TOGETHER
HE HAD AN INCREDIBLE VOICE
AND GUITAR STYLE .
I WOULD LIKEN HIM TO
KENNY RANKIN ,
WE LOVED TO HIKE UP
MOUNTAINS TO WATERFALLS
AND SING AND PLAY GUITAR
SERENADED BY THE SOUNDS OF
NATURE ALL AROUND US .
HIS LAUGHTER WAS CONTAGIOUS
AND FILLED WITH MAGIC WONDER
NOW HIS MENTAL BODY IS
EVERYWHERE IN THE ROOM
AS I SIT HERE IN REFLECTION
OF HIS CHARISMATIC BEING
MAY HIS SPIRIT REINCARNATE
WITH MAGNIFICENT SPLENDOR.
LOVE AND RESPECT GOD BLESS

Doug Roebuck used to come to engagements where my brother, Ted Ruybalid, a/k/a "Teddy Boy Floyd," was playing. I have nice clear recordings of three songs Doug sang at the Townhouse in Manitou Springs that I would be glad to e-mail to Doug's loved ones. My e-mail is: [email protected].

Doug was loyal to his friends and he was ready to be your good friend. I remember a small group of friends spending a cold night in the mountains just laughing and singing. I will remember when I think of him. Doug had so much musical talent, playing in bands a solo from when he was in high school.

I remember Doug playing his guitar at parties our neighbors had in the early 1970s. My best friend had a brother who was Doug's best friend. All the girls thought Doug was so good-looking. I'm so sorry for your loss.
