Dear Lana, We are so sad to hear of your precious husband Doug's death. Some of the thoughts that came to me are...before my Mom married, she lived in Denver close to her beloved Sister Dorothy and brother in law Archie. She told us many times over her short 61 years also, how special and wonderful her two nephews, Doug and Darrell were to her. My husband Bob and our two children Jennifer & Jeff visited Uncle Archie and Aunt Dorothy one summer and had the privilege of having both Doug and Lana there to eat with us and get to know each other a little as adults. We had such a great time....talked about retirement and maybe going to the Black Hills of SD on motorcycles one day...the guys wouldn't shave and just actually relax a bit with their favorite gals! We never did do that and wish we would have. We grew up far from each other but always felt Doug was a very specical cousin. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and until your family is reunited in heaven above, we will be praying for God to give you strength during this difficult and sad time. Our love and prayers are always with you. Bob & Wilma and family

Doug is a cousin of mine and although we were born and raised miles apart I did have the pleasure of being with him and Lana several times while I visited my special Aunt Dorothy and Uncle Archie in the summers when I was growing up. Doug was always fun to be around and on one visit that my children traveled with me they will always remember the great burgers that Doug grilled! They were young when they had their only meeting with him but to this day they still remember that. Our condolences Lana, Daryl and your families. You will always be in our thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time. Dave,Janice Gale and family.
