Douglas G. Young, 70, of Ault, passed away at Medical Center of the Rockies on April 3, 2013. He was born on January 16, 1943 to Marvin and Maxine (Craft) Young in Lincoln, NE. Douglas is a former resident of Colorado Springs and Victor, CO and moved to Ault to be closer to family. He was a member of A.A. for 33 years. He played sports in his earlier years and enjoyed painting, drawing and watching sports. He is survived by his sons, Patrick (Brandi) Young, James Young and Daniel (Laura) Young; brother Greg Young; sisters Sharon, Joann and Marilyn; grandchildren, Mathew, Laureign, Indiana, Riley, Nicholas, and Kaitlyn; and a great-grandchild, Skye. He was preceded in death by his parents. No services will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to the Colorado Springs A.A. Association in care of Allnutt Funeral Services, 702 13th Street, Greeley, CO 80631.

Doug was my friend and I will miss him.
He was a wise man with a good sense of humor, I remember him smoking his pipe in my early days of sobriety, I am forever grateful for his presence in AA.:)
