Eamon Feeley Obituary

Eamon E. Feeley, 85, passed away December 21, 2006 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was born October 30, 1921 in Des Moines, Iowa to Thomas and Cecelia (McCahill) Feeley, who preceded him in death. Eamon was one of nine children. There were several occupations that Eamon enjoyed in his career; police officer, postal carrier, wood carver; and he was the owner/operator of Revere Printing Company, Inc. Eamon was also an inventor where he held a patent on farm implements. Eamon proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. Eamon married Jean E. Godar in September 1956 in Des Moines. To this union there were eight children. Jean preceded him in death in November 1999. Special hobbies included gold panning, and wood carving, tending to his property in Yoder, Colorado and spending time with his family. He is survived by eight children and their spouses; George (Deidra) Feeley; Cecelia (Douglas) Morgan; Joseph (Crystal) Feeley; Marie (Charles) Logston; Matt (Rhonda) Feeley; Laura (William) Claspell; Rita (Kenneth) Brady and Rene (Dennis) Beshear; and four siblings; Frank (Dena) Feeley; Mary Feeley; Ambrose (Judy) Feeley and Patrick (Donna) Feeley and 20 grandchildren. Siblings who preceded Eamon in death were Vincent, Joseph, Marcella and John Feeley. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 26, 2006 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at Swan Law Funeral Home. Rosary will follow at 5:00 p.m. in the Swan Law Chapel. Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at 10:00 a.m., Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 2318 N. Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO 80907. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Eamon's name to Corpus Christi Catholic Church. A private inurnment will take place at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, Colorado.
