The Next Time We Share a Room

Dad, it was a month ago that we had to say good-bye. We all surrounded your
bed and held your hand, as you took your last breath, as we all cried. Four
generations of family at your side, your heart went to sleep after one last
heart beat. That is when we witnessed the lights of Heaven grace your face
as sorrow filled ours. The Angels wiped their last tears away as your pain
began to disappear, but our hearts filled with pain as our eyes filled with
tear after tear. Your Soul became ageless as we aged from the despair over
losing you. We will keep your memory with us, always. It is all we can do
for now, because the next time we share a room, it won't be to hear us cry,
it won't be to say good-bye, it will be a place to hug and say hi, as we
meet again, high, in God's sky.

Love Your Daughter,
Alice

In loving memory of Uncle Earl. To my family in CO Springs, I am holding you in my thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time. May you find comfort in knowing that Uncle Earl is at peace and with Debbie Lee. I hold the fondest memories of times we shared together in PA and CO. The years and distance between us may have been many but the love in our hearts was always near and dear. You couldn't find a more devoted Pittsburgh Steeler fan, even when we played the Denver Broncos. I'll never forget that my Uncle Earl once dated Shirley Jones of The Partridge Family! I'll always remember thinking that my dad, Bob and my Uncle Earl were the two most handsome men in my life. The stories my dad could tell about he and his brother! Now I know that their sons and grandsons were taught from the best! May you rest in peace Uncle Earl, we'll miss you dearly and love you always.

papa earl i am writing the poem for you.

"Watching you slipped away"
We were watching you slipped
away and knew our hearts got
so hurt.
We will always think of you and
Will miss you so deeply and
Papa Earl, I know you were
So strong for you self.
We all will be strong for you
And will never forget about
You because you are already
In our hearts forever.

Our deepest sympathy to Earl's family in Colorado Springs. He will forever be in our thoughts and sadly missed by all of us.
He always showed us a good time when we went to visit. He would take us anywhere we wanted to go, no matter how he felt.
His brother Bob will really miss him. Bob would send articles and photos to Earl about wrestling and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
We will miss calling him after each Steeler's game, sharing news about our Fuller family, and the friends that he grew up with in Vanderbilt, Pennsylvania.
Jeanie will remember the time when she gave Earl a hair cut. She was nervous because she was afraid she would make a mess of his hair. He trusted her and didn't complain. She had to "save the long side burns!"
Earl is a special Guardian Angel watching over us. He can now rest in peace and be with his beloved daughter Debbie, his parents, and grandparents.
Love,

Debby VanTassel

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

And when we have remembered everything, we grow afraid of what we may forget. A face, a voice, a smile? No need to fear forgetting, because The heart remembers always. Sending an Angel to Watch over you!

It was so sad to have to say good-bye. I prayed for your life everyday hoping you wouldn’t leave us. I begged you to try hard and be strong because I couldn’t let you go. You tried so hard. You fought until the end. You didn’t want to leave us either. I opened the Bible looking for guidance. I started to read a phrase on Wisdom and stopped because I didn’t think it was Wisdom I needed. Days later, signs of your fight started to show on your face. You fought so hard. The stress and pain you were dealing with was apparent. Then I was able to understand the message of Wisdom in the book of God. The message was that I had to find the wisdom to understand why I had to let you go in peace. Thanks to God for the cherished two more weeks we had to spend with you.
Love your Daughter,
Alice

In loving memory of my Uncle Earl. Thank you for all of the memories that will be cherished forever. I remember when the Pennsylvania Fuller's and the Colorado Fuller's would get together and us kids would all pile up in the back of your truck and go sightseeing. I also remember when I stayed with you and Aunt Pat for a while in 1985. You took me to the Eagles Lodge and you talked me into eating "Rocky Mountain Oysters" - and you let me think it was seafood! We will miss talking to you, a fan, of the Pittsburgh Steelers. You will have the best seat in heaven to watch the Steelers in the Superbowl. You will always be in our hearts and greatly missed.
