Eberhard Reul Obituary

Eberhard "King" Reul, a longtime Colorado Springs resident passed away November 9, 2014. He was born in Ulm, Germany on December 2, 1937.

King arrived at Ellis Island in 1957 to pursue his dream to join the U.S. Army, where he proudly served from 1958 to 1961. He was married to Mary Jane (Orr) Reul from 1958 to 1992. King worked as a Machinist for Hewlett Packard from 1966 until he retired in 1996.

King was passionate about all things military; he was an avid Jeep enthusiast and enjoyed both model and steam engine trains. King regularly volunteered at The National Museum of World War II Aviation.

King is survived by his daughter Susi Shaw and son Karl (wife Elisabeth) Reul; sisters Ingrid Reul, and Jutta Priest. He dearly loved his 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, and will be missed by many friends and family.

Services will be held on November 22, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Alternative Funeral Services, 2377 N Academy Blvd.

The family suggests in lieu of flowers, donations in King's name can be made to The National Museum of World War II Aviation, 755 Aviation Way, CS, CO 80916.
