Eddie Valdez Obituary
Jose Eduardo Valdez was born on July 19, 1946 in Antonito to Pete I. and Florence (Lucero) Valdez. He attended school in Antonito and was a 1964 graduate of the high school there. He enjoyed sports, Elvis Presley music and will be best remembered for his kind heart, his generosity and compassion. He will be dearly missed.
Eddie is survived by his brother, Virgil W. Valdez of Colorado Springs; and his five sisters, Frieda Wingert of Aurora, Colorado, Alice (Daniel) Uresti of Colorado Springs, Stella Hilsenbeck of Aurora, Laura (Robert) Frederick and Nora (Dale) Revello of Colorado Springs.
He is also survived by his longtime companion, Mary Ann Schieve of Colorado Springs; her grandson, Cameron Schieve; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Fred and Abel; and two sisters, Stella and Annabelle.
A Rosary will be said at 4pm on Friday, December 12, 2014 at The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 E. Platte Avenue. A Mass of Christian Burial is planned for 10am on Saturday, December 13, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family.

I can't imagine this life without you.I will miss our crazy conversations. I will always remember your ability to forgive and love those who hurt you, be loyal to the ones you love and most important your faith, even with all you had been through you never doubted your faith, a true angel, until we meet again. Eddie, you're the best. Never met such a sweet soul. I only met you this summer, but it felt like we knew each other our whole lives. I've never known such a caring person, I wish I would have met you sooner. You made my days brighter. I'll never forget you. Definitely one of a kind.

I would like to extend my deepest prayers and condolences to the family of our long time family friend. Eddie was a very kind and giving...showing all who came across his path friendship and generosity. I remember Eddie as long as I can remember, him being friends with my Aunt Francis and Johnny, my father. I know he extended his hand in friendship to my father that was beyond compare, he took care of him and I will be always greatful! To you Eddie...Thank you for all of your kindness, love and support! You will be dearly missed.
