Edith Josephine Mix led a life full of love and dedication. As an X-ray Technician and longtime resident of Colorado Springs, she undoubtedly touched countless lives with her skill and compassion. Her passing on May 4, 2024, leaves behind a legacy of warmth and care.
Survived by her husband, Robert Edward Mix, Edith leaves behind a family deeply rooted in love. Her son, Jeffrey, and three daughters, Laura Smitherman, Lisa Nemmers (Gary), and Julie Raphael (Rob), stand as a testament to her nurturing spirit. Edith's love extended to her grandchildren, numbering eight, and her great-grandchildren, who will undoubtedly cherish memories of her.
Edith's journey was shared with her brother, Gregg Loutzenhiser (Renee), a bond that surely brought joy and strength to both their lives. Though she has departed this world, Edith reunites with her loved ones who preceded her in death: her parents, Donald and Laveta Loutzenhiser, her brother Duane, and her sister Darlene Jewell.
As Edith's loved ones gather to honor her memory, they do so in Flagler, CO, undoubtedly surrounded by the affection and support she cultivated throughout her life. Edith Josephine Mix will be dearly missed, but her legacy of love and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Jo and Bob are special friends that we spent a great deal of time with living in Kissing Camels. We played lots of golf and enjoyed many dinners together. She was lovely, generous and kind. I know she´ll be greatly missed. Friends,Teri and Ray Farris
