EDITH BOWEN WAGNER

Edith Bowen Wagner, local West-Side artist, died on December 10, 2020 after a short but happy stay at MorningStar Memory Care at Bear Creek in Colorado Springs. Edith was born in Richland Kansas and raised on a farm by her parents, Russell and Carrie Bowen. She was preceeded in death by her parents and sister Viryl Firl and her husband Richard Wagner. Edith's beloved "children" were her numerous cats and dogs. Edith moved to Colorado Springs and fell in love with the West Side. She worked as a photo retouch artist for several downtown studios which led to her life-long love of painting. She was an accomplished artist and won many awards for her paintings, several of which hang in museums. It was in the Springs where she met Richard Wagner who was to be her companion of 58 years and husband of one month before he died in 2016. Edith loved dancing, travel, painting and watching "Professional Bull Riding". She enjoyed fine dining yet bragged that she had never cooked a day in her life! Edith was truly "one -of-a-kind" who leaves a void in the hearts of many who loved her. There will be a Remembrance in the spring. Donations to " Happy Cats Haven " are appreciated.

Edith was a charming lady with a lot of charisma she was always a blast to be around and was the life of the party you will be truly missed by everyone who knew you may you R.I.P ( Rest In Paradise )
