Edna Mugasis Obituary

Edna E "Betty" Mugasis, died August 2, 2014 at Joni Fair Hospice House in Pueblo, almost 30 years ago, she wrote the following obituary for herself.

I was born in Kansas on December 7, 1923. My beautiful parents, were Hubert and Edna Gaston. My brothers and sister are Wayne, Bill, Jim and Gracia. I married Alex in 1949 and we've shared these years of happiness together. Our children are Cate, Julie, Becky, Lori and Pete. My words cannot express my love for them but I know they know. We've added sons-in-law and a daughter-in-law and the six most beautiful grandchildren in the world. I've related especially well to children everywhere and hope that I have given all I could to them. And now I go to be a child of God.

Betty is survived by her children, Cate, Lori and Pete (Rhea) Mugasis, Becky (Doug) Fulker and Emma Segura; as well as her beloved grandchildren, Jess, Joe, Taj, Jermaine, Christian and Patrick; great grandchildren, Dave, Nick, Kaitlyn and Alex; she leaves behind dear friends at Ocho Caballos and the Chateau at Sharmar.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Alex; and daughter, Julie Hairston.

Donations in her memory may be made to Sangre de Cristo Hospice or your favorite charity. Private services.
