Edna Alice Reimer died peacefully at home on December 20, 2023.
Born on April 16, 1935, Edna Alice Fletcher grew up in Hugo, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lowell and Nellie Fletcher, her brother Fredric, sister Dorothy "Dottie Ann" Wilson, her husband Lewis Reimer (1956-d.1984) and husband Bernard Lick (1988-d.2021). Edna graduated from Colorado State Teachers College in 1957 and earned her Masters in Education from Colorado College in 1978. She enjoyed teaching elementary school at Mark Twain and Longfellow in District 11 for 30 years, and was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma. Edna and Lew's children: Dan (wife Nola), Kari and Jon (wife Kristina) all live in Colorado Springs. She enjoyed her beautiful grandchildren who blessed her with great grandchildren, all of whom brought her great joy and gave her intense pride. Edna enjoyed gardening, reading, journaling, playing bridge, traveling, singing, and especially loved visiting with treasured friends while walking, drinking coffee or doing water aerobics (but not all at the same time).
Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at 11am at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 2111 Carlton Avenue, CSC 80909. If you are so inclined, please read to, or share a book with, a child in her memory.
