Edna Eileen Shayne, former hair stylist and travel agent, passed away on 26 August 2020 in Gilbert, Arizona after a lengthy illness. She was born on 31 March 1939 in Colorado Springs to Henry and Charlotte Lindt.
She was a longtime resident of Colorado Springs and was co-owner of Shayette Beauty Salon with husband, Gary A. Shayne, until 1979. Her successful travel career eventually relocated her to the Mesa, Arizona area, where she worked, resided, and remained after she retired.
Ms. Shayne leaves behind daughter, Shawn Ruth (Colby) of Scottsdale, Arizona; son, Shannon, of Fountain, Colorado; six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind five sisters, a brother, numerous nieces, nephews, and long-time close friends.
Ms. Shayne is preceded in passing by her husband, Gary; her parents, and two brothers.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, 14 May at Evergreen Cemetery.
Ms. Shayne had much love in her heart for animals, especially dogs. In lieu of flowers, please send contributions to your local or preferred animal shelter.
