EDOARDO DEL MEDICO Obituary

It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of Nonno Eddy Del Medico, who left us peacefully at his home in Brampton on November 4, 2025, surrounded by his family. Edoardo is survived by his wife, Anita; his beloved sons, Danny, Stefano (Kim), and David (Susan); and his cherished grandchildren, Julian (Erin), Marc-Daniel (Ksenia), Christian (Jessica), Eddy, Matthew, Mikayla, and Alex (Alyssa). He was also blessed to meet and love his great-grandchildren, Alighiero-Kristof, Viggolupo, and Iris. Born in Tarcento, Friuli, Italy, in 1933, Edoardo came to Nova Scotia, Canada, in 1956 in pursuit of new opportunities. There, he met his business partner, Mario Pestrin. Together, they moved to Toronto, where they left a lasting mark on the city's construction industry by founding Gem Campbell Terrazzo Tile and Marble and E & M Precast. In 1976, following the advice of his friend Bill Davis, then Premier of Ontario, Edoardo purchased his beloved family homestead in Brampton - a place that would become the heart of countless memories. Edoardo was a gentleman of few words but great presence. His strength, integrity, and quiet wisdom resonated deeply with everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He truly "did it his way," right to the end. He will be profoundly missed and forever remembered by all who loved him. Rest in peace, Dad. Friends will be received on Friday, November 7, 2025, from 2:00–4:00 and 7:00–9:00 p.m. at the Ward Funeral Home, 52 Main St. South, Brampton. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday morning, November 8, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Mary's Church, 66 Main St. S. in Brampton. Cremation to follow.
