Edward Olen Brownfield, age 63, of Colorado Springs, CO, passed away on September 11, 2023. He was born on January 23, 1960. Ed was a beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Dona and Albert Brownfield, and his sister, Heidi Keihani. Ed is survived by his brother, Scott Brownfield, and his sister, Cindy (Charlie) McMullen. He will also be remembered by his nieces, Jaime (Leo) Garcia and Leila (Aaron) Bryan, and his nephew, Isaac Benson.
Ed served in the U.S. Army and later had a successful career in sheet metal fabrication as a HVAC machinist for Regional Heating and Air Conditioning for more than 20 years. Most recently, he worked at the Colorado College dining hall.
Outside of work, Ed was an avid reader, with a particular fondness for the works of Steve King. He was known for his deadly accuracy when playing frisbee and had a passion for cars and racing, a Brownfield tradition. Ed loved to fish and a lifetime highlight was fishing for halibut in Alaska.
