Edward Fabian Obituary

Edward Fabian left this earth to join his wife, Sonja, in heaven on September 04, 2016 from natural causes at age 90. He was born in Chicago, Illinois and moved to Colorado Springs in the mid-1950's. He served proudly in the U.S. Army during WWII in Europe, where he met his bride to whom he was married for 66 years.

In Chicago, Edward was in the funeral business and upon moving to Colorado started an Insurance agency, later running his own financial advising business. He enjoyed the nature of Colorado, skiing, hiking and mushroom hunting. He was active with his wife for 50 years in the German American Cultural Society Club. He enjoyed taking Sonja back to Europe often so she could visit her German homeland.

Edward is survived by his son, Eric and daughter-in-law Stacy, his grandsons, Grant and Taylor and his sister Patricia Kirstein in Chicago, IL, nephew Leonard and nieces Valerie, Kimberly, Susan, Patti and Jil and their families.

Services will be held on Friday, September 9th at First Lutheran Church, 1515 N. Cascade Ave, Colorado Springs at 2:30 pm, with reception following at 4pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Lutheran Church's Memorial Fund in memory of Edward.
