My name is Mark Wilkins. I used to work for Ed back in 1989 when he lived in Boca Raton. He was a great man and I respected and admired him very much. I only just found out about his passing. Very sad. My sincere condolences to his family. I have very fond memories of him. RIP Mr Gersh.

It was my honor to help Ed write his boxing memoir.
A very fine gentleman, with a "strong, collected spirit" when he stepped into the ring, and when he walked into our lives.

I just heard of Ed's passing. He touched us all with great sincerity and candore....I was blessed to work with both him and Cletus and know in my heart that our work together helped inspire him to return to managing boxers. He will be missed. Never will there be a day that he didn't inspire people. All my sincered sympathies to his friends and family....James Ford Nussbaum--IMPACT-Jewish Boxers in America.

I am so sorry for the loss of your husband, dad, granddad....Eddie to me. I have so many happy memories of him from when I was a little girl, and admiration as I became an adult. In addition to all of his buisness, social and personal obligations, he treated my grandma ruthy like gold, even more so after my grandfather Albert, his first cousin died. He found time to give to people in the community. I loved that Holiday gifts were always meals for people in NYC who needed them, as they should be, as we are so fortunate aren't we.
As you know, better than I, Eddie was an amazing man. He is somebody I speak of in my life at least monthly. He is indeed part of me. He made a difference in my life.
My heart goes out to you all. Much love. Lisa

Mr. Gersh was a great man. I knew him from growing up at West Hills Day Camp. Mr Gersh, you will be missed. I know you will be watching over the camp this and every year. Your dreams came true. Rest in peace. Little sheik
