USAF LIEUTENANT COLONEL (RET.) EDWARD S. KAISER
December 7, 2018
Edward S. Kaiser, age 85, passed away peacefully at his home on December 7, 2018, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey, and graduated from Rutgers University in 1955. Commissioned as an officer, he served in the U.S. Air Force for 23 years and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel then continued with the USAF as a civilian for a total of 50 years of federal service. He was a highly decorated officer, earning many medals including the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry and a special commendation from the government of Japan for his role in returning Okinawa to Japan in 1972.
Ed was happiest when traveling the world with his entire family, enjoying new and exciting adventures. He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife of 62 years, Judy, and their three daughters Elise Kaiser (Marvin Goldman) of Newton, MA, Vicky Kaiser Russell (William) of Inverness, IL, and Randee Kaiser (David Janik) of Albuquerque, NM. He will be forever remembered by his three treasured grandchildren, Ethan and Sarah Goldman and Alexander Russell. He is also survived by his dear brother, Fred Kaiser (Judy) of Phoenix, AZ.
Memorial donations may be made to Temple Shalom in Colorado Springs, Ed and Judy's cherished home and community for 25 years.
The family is especially grateful for the compassionate care provided by Legacy Hospice and Honor Home Care.
