I've known Ed for many, many year through his wife Carolyn. Ed was a gentle man and yet he was strong enough never to give into the Parkinson's. In his earlier years I too experienced his strong interest in the environment. If he got your attention you never walked away without learning something important about the environment or knowing that you just heard a man of conviction share his knowledge and love for his country and the air that we all breathed. A family member told me he was a natural genius. He stayed strong until the very end with the strength of conviction so clearly in his eyes. Ed was a brave man who will be missed by anyone that knew him but so blessed to have been ever a small part of his life. Rest In Peace Ed. You earned it. My prayers will always be with you.

I knew Ed through various community environmental groups, and most frequently through the Air Quality Technical Committee of the PPACG. Ed was passionate about the science related to maintaining healthy air for Colorado Springs. He worked tirelessly to explain the technical minutiae involved in what causes and controls air pollution. He was a very sincere and dedicated man. His presence will be missed.

Carolyn and family-
I am sorry to read of Ed's passing. He was a lovely human being and he adored his family. The world is a better place because of him having been in it. Holding you all in my heart and sending love.
