Edward J. Ochsie Jr, 74, died at home June 10, 2022. He was a retired masonry contractor, owner and operator of High Country Masonry.
Ed Ochsie was born March 27, 1948 in Hackensack, N.J. to Edward J. and Martha (Bellman) Ochsie, deceased.
He was married July 6, 2002 to Laurie Beth Abbuhl. They lived in Calhan, CO.
Ed is survived by his wife, Laurie, and his five beloved children, three daughters and 2 sons, all of Colorado: Terri Spencer, Roxanne Horton, Jennifer Clubs, Jason Ochsie, and Dustin Ochsie; along with ten grandchildren: Brandon, Mitchell, Kyle, Tyler, Amanda, Kevin, Leanne, Emma, Haze, and Gavin; also two great-grandchildren, Avery and Kristopher, and another on the way soon.
He is also survived by his three brothers, Eric, Kurt, Brian, and one sister, Joanne.
Ed lived in Colorado since approximately 1955. He lived in Boulder with his family until 1964, when they moved to Black Forest. Ed graduated from high school at Air Academy. He lived in Colorado Springs and Woodland Park before moving to Calhan.
Ed was a wonderful man and is sorely missed by his wife, children and grandchildren.
A celebration of Ed's life will be held Saturday September 10th, 2:00ish, at 7860 Blue Gill Dr, Peyton CO 80831.
