Buck was a dear friend and fellow resident at Liberty Heights. We shared breakfast most mornings from 2013 until he moved to assisted living.
He was a man of unquestioned integrity and of faith in Jesus Christ.
I miss his company and look forward to seeing him again in heaven.

Buck was such a dear friend to us over the years! We had the privilege of being in the same church as he and Ava were in Fort Collins. We had many happy times together both in our homes and monthly at the Birthday celebrations we had with several friends. Buck was the epitome of a gentleman and endeared himself to us all. He was always concerned for others and was a joy to all. I (Ken) thoroughly enjoyed the Gideon Distribution Days when he and I would visit college campuses giving students the New Testaments. In the recent past years he was faithful to call us and we were always uplifted by his loving words! Heaven is even sweeter now that he is there.... and we look forward to reunion with him someday because of our faith in Christ!

I always felt like a surrogate grandchild of Uncle Buck, but maybe that is because he made everybody feel that special! I am blessed that he married my mother's sister (June, whom we called "Doodle"), and the loss of her thirty years ago did not sever ties, but brought us even closer in that bond of grief.
Jesus said, "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." (John 15:13) I feel like Buck lived his life with that "greater love" whether it was laying down a past in order to give others a different future, laying down his personal feelings or conveniences to serve others, or actually laying down his life as in WWII; greater love has no man than Buck.
He taught me generosity (in giving when it was unnecessary), true love (in loving even when it hurt) and perseverance (in making tough phone calls and leading- when leadership was needed most.)
May he rest in the peace that passes understanding there in heaven with his Savior.
He will be missed...until we meet again!

Buck was our stepfather/stepfather-in-law for over 25 years. Words cannot adequately describe this kind, generous and gentle man. He loved his entire family beyond measure, especially his daughter Susan. Our lives were blessed for having loved and spent time with this amazing man and we will cherish the memories of cruises, holidays, and other special times together. We will always love and miss you, Buck. Mike & Carol

We sure will miss our Grandpa Buck! All the great times in Fort Collins and Colorado Springs. Many thanks to all who attended his Memorial service. He was a man loved by many!

It was an honor to know Buck and share celebrations and different occasions with him at Sue and Ed's, as well as Liberty Heights. Sue, your loving efforts were to keep him comfortable throughout his life and you were successful. The father daughter relationship that you shared was so caring and mutual and a joy to observe. Rest in Peace, Buck.

It was my privilege to know Buck during our years together at Liberty Heights Retirement Center. He was a humble man in spite of his many accomplishments. The term "gentle giant" is very apropos. We often shared our common love for the Lord Jesus Christ, and I know that Buck is rejoicing in heaven.
He was blessed with a wonderful family and spoke of them all frequently. I was especially impressed by the love and care he received from Susan and Ed.
He will be greatly missed!

My great-grandmother Martha Alice Seitz Davis was Buck's aunt. May the thoughts of others help during this time.
