Edwin Plante Obituary

Edwin Kenneth Plante, 91, of Colorado Springs, died on Sunday, July 9, 2017.

Mr. Plante was born April 13, 1926 in Little Falls, Minnesota. He served in the United States Air Force from 1944 - 1965, where he achieved the rank of Master Sergeant. He moved to Colorado Springs in 1965, where he enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, and fishing. He also loved and sold American cars and owned his own restaurant. He was active with the Korean War Veterans Association.

He is survived by his wife, Caroline M. (Guck) Plante; daughters, Patricia A. Turay of Huntsville, Alabama, Jeanne M. Prestel of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Lynne C. Plante of Centreville, Virginia; sons, Kenneth E. and Donald K., both of Colorado Springs, Colorado; two sisters, Donna Plante of Little Falls, Minnesota and Pauline Hart of Coon Rapids, Minnesota; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his son, Glen David.

Visitation, 5:00PM-7:00PM, followed by a Rosary at 7:00PM, Friday, July 14, 2017 at The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 East Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80909.

Mass of Christian Burial, 9:00AM, Saturday, July 15, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1830 South Corona Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80905.

Private Burial will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado with his son, Glen David Plante, United States Navy.

Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made in Edwin's memory to the Dutch Nelsen Chapter of the Korean War Veterans Association in Colorado Springs, or the American Cancer Society.
