Eileen Fox Obituary

Born this life March 8, 1959, entered eternal life July 16, 2008. She died peacefully at home in Divide, CO. She was born in Snyder, TX to Bryan and Bette Dixon. She moved to Colorado Springs in 1993 and married her best friend, Mark Fox, in 1995. Eileen put her faith in Jesus Christ at an early age and desired to serve Him her entire life. She earned an M.A. in Counseling from UCCS and was a licensed counselor in Compulsive Gambling and Chemical Dependency as well Marriage and Family. God gifted Eileen with enormous empathy, and she devoted her life to helping people overcome personal challenges in spite of her own physical suffering and extended illness. She loved the mountain home she shared with Mark and their two dogs Zeke and Mikayla as well as gardening, photography, taking care of birds and animals, riding horses, fishing and target shooting. She had a great sense of humor, was a faithful friend, was very active in politics, and always enjoyed making new discoveries. Eileen will be dearly missed by family, friends, and clients. All who knew her were blessed by her faith, courage, and unconditional love. She is survived by her husband Mark, father Bryan, sister and brother-in-law Sandy and Steve Jenkins, and niece Elizabeth Jenkins. She was preceded in death by her mother Bette, sister Sharon, and brother Chris. A Celebration of Eileen's Life will be held Wednesday, July 23 at 1:00 pm at Woodland Park Community Church, 800 Valley View Drive in Woodland Park. Interment will follow at Mountain Wilderness Memorial. A reception will follow at Woodland Park Community Church after interment. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Magnum, Inc.
