Mrs Murphy was a wonderful friend to my dad, Russ Todd, her neighbor at The Fairfax. What a special lady, so grateful I met her. Sending our condolences. Sarah Gallagher

George Shelia and rest of the Casey Family My deepest sympathy goes out to each one of you during this difficult time. Both families had so much fun together. Mom loved Minot Beach sitting on the beach with her chair and she would go in the water everyday and the water temperature that didn´t bother her. Well Mrs. Murphy please RIP and God Bless You. We who knew you will surely miss you

There is a vacuum of generosity and tenderness following the passing of Elaine Morton Casey Murphy. As a kid in the late 1950s my older brother and I played football with her sons and our parents were friends. She was "Mrs. Casey" to us and next to our own mother Mrs. Casey was always my siblings´ consensus choice as the next best possible mother. More than just the chocolate chip cookies she served, in her presence one quickly learned that Mrs. Casey never criticized others. In fact, she only seemed to notice the best in everyone. She would make you feel special just in the way she paid close attention as she asked how you were. Mrs. Casey was a spiritual force for graceful kindness. I had not seen her in many years but my brother, Peter, her godson, reported her as wonderful as ever after his last visit. We shall all miss Elaine and shall try to live up to her philosophy of "making the best of things" and making the best of the people around us.
