Elaine Tourville Obituary

Tourville
Elaine Ann
(Kellerman) Tourville
March 30, 1938
August 13, 2025

Born in So. St. Paul, MN, to parents Raymond and Bertha Kellerman. She met Eugene Paul Tourville in high school; they married in 1959. She dedicated her life to serving her family, community, and God. Elaine worked as a teacher's aide for School District 11 for twenty years and volunteered for another twenty years. She helped many children learn to read to succeed. Elaine started reading tutoring programs, including summer remedial reading with grand friends.
Her passion for reading led her to serve as volunteer librarian at the Holy Apostles Catholic Church Library for over thirty years. Elaine is survived by husband Gene, half-sisters Linda Nolan (Ron) and Vicki Kellerman (Laurie), and her six children, Rosanne Armstrong (Dennis), Jon Tourville (Marcy), Michelle Wheatley (Hal), Jeanette Reese (John), Francine Tourville, and Vince Tourville (Elena). Additionally, she is survived by 11 grandchildren: Angela, Kristina, Fletcher, Denise, Elise, Caleb, Hamilton, Aleesia, Eli, Johanna, Elias and six great grandchildren. The family would like to express their gratitude for the compassionate care provided by her incredible neighbors and friends through their visits and thoughtful support.

A Requiem Mass will be held at Holy Apostles Catholic Church, 4925 North Carefree Circle, on Saturday, October 25, at 11 a.m. A reception will follow in the parish hall. Donations may be made to the Colorado Springs Marian House Kitchen at www.ccharitiescc.org.

My name is Rhonda Bryant and I first met Elaine when I was her son´s, Vincent, fifth grade teacher. We immediately became fiends and she was so giving of her time in the classroom. She had such a sparkle in her eyes.
She wrote the sweetest note to me, at the end of the school year, in appreciation of my impact I had made on the children in my classroom. Occasionally, I would see her later on in life and it was like seeing an old friend. I would run into Vince at his work and always asked about her. Condolences to the family and I know she will be missed by many.
