Eldon Addy Obituary

Eldon was one of the few people who befriended my Dad during his final years of life. Dad spoke so highly of Eldon; when I met him at Dad's funeral we became fast friends. I enjoyed helping him build his clocks. He trusted me with his band saw! I continued to visit Eldon even when he moved to the care home. I miss him much.

Dear Cathy, Don,and family,
I was so fortunate to feel like I was part of your family in Wichita, and my memories of "Daddy Addy" are endless. They are also always joined with memories of your mother. I can picture your home, our campsites, our times together. My folks so enjoyed Eldon's clock in our living room. Dad enjoyed sharing Dad's Weekend with Eldon at 1819 Toad Road, as they called it. Stories, humor, sweetness and love. Such a wonderful man. Such a wonderful life. Sending hugs.

So very sorry to hear of Mr Addy's passing. He was a true gentleman and always had a smile. Really enjoyed working with him at Ross Milling/Cargill. Love to visit with him at the Christmas parties and hear about his newest clock he'd been working on. Prayers to you all.

Don/Cathryn: Jim Beach informed me that your father had passed at the age of 103. I have thought of him frequently during the past years hoping that all was going well with him. Eldon was an outstanding example for all of us regarding the kind of person we should be. I know he encouraged me more times than I can count & I valued his friendship. It was my privilege to know Mr. Addy, to have him as a client and to be the recipient of one of his clocks!! His attention to detail was amazing. He was always kind and caring. Loved having him as a part of our Edward Jones branch.

Always a true a gentleman. Mr. Addy touched so many lives. I'll remember his ever genuine smile.
