Elizabeth "Betty" Broadston
April 3, 2025

Elizabeth (Betty) Broadston of Colorado Springs passed away peacefully on April 3,
2025, in the presence of family members. Betty was born in Iowa City, IA, but spent
most of her life as a resident of Colorado Springs. She was a loving wife, mother,
sister, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Betty is survived by her loving husband Frank Broadston of 73 years, her children Tari Makings (Dean) and Michael Broadston, her sister Carol Dean, her grandchildren Drew Makings (Emilee) and Christi Troyer (Josh) and five great-grandchildren.

Betty was known for her passion for gardening - especially her beloved roses, the loveof reading and spending time with her great-grandchildren. According to her family,Betty was also known for growing the best tomatoes in town. Services will be
scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in Betty's honor tothe Cheyenne Mountain Zoo as she was a long-time supporter and lover of the zoo.

Dear Carol,

A 'voice' from the past .. Mary Ellen Risdal Nuccio. I am so sorry for your loss
and just happened to see it online today. I still live in Skyway (part of w. Colorado Springs and saw Betty at the nursing home when I was convalenscing there as was Frank. Know I'm thinking of you, hoping this finds you well and still enjoying life. Your old Newhall friend!
