ELIZABETH "LIBBY" JANE CALHOUN
June 22, 1923 December 8, 2020

Elizabeth Jane "Libby" Calhoun, 97, passed away Dec. 8, 2020, in Pueblo, Colo. Libby was born June 22, 1923, in New Castle, Ind. to Edward and Sarah Swearingen and was married to the late Richard Calhoun and moved to Colorado Springs in 1945. She owned and operated The Wooden Shoe DayCare Center for 47 years and was known as Miss Libby to hundreds of children over the years. Elizabeth was a longtime member of Trinity United Methodist Church and a charter member of Wilson United Methodist Church in Colorado Springs and was a friend of Vineland United Methodist Church of Pueblo. She was a 60 year member of Glen Eyrie Chapter 8 and Centennial Chapter 58, Order of Eastern Star. Libby is survived by her sons, Richard and David; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; and large extended family. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Indiana. In lieu of food and flowers, memorials may be made to Vineland United Methodist Church-Pueblo, 1587 Lane 36, Pueblo, CO 81005. Online condolences, www.MontgomerySteward.com
