Elizabeth Conway Obituary

January 16, 1943 - February 16, 2008. Elizabeth Ellen Conway, age 65, passed away on February 16, 2008. Elizabeth was born January 16, 1943 in Jenkins, Kentucky to Rex and Maxie Lawson. She grew up in Kingsport, Tennessee, where she later attended East Tennessee State University and met her future husband, David. They moved to Arlington Heights, Illinois where their only son, Jack was born. Moving to Colorado in 1980, the Conways became long time residents of the area, living in Monument, Evergreen, and Parker. In 2001 they moved to Santa Barbara, California, until returning to Colorado Springs in January 2008. Elizabeth enjoyed life to its fullest, and shared her many talents as an elementary school teacher, professional storyteller, librarian, Nationally recognized hi-point winner in Quarter Horse events, health club owner, and art instructor. She is survived by her loving husband David of 42 years, her son Jack, her sister Jean Turner, and her brother Al Lawson. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 23, 2008 at 2:00 pm at Faith Presbyterian Church, 1529 North Circle Drive, Colorado Springs, CO 80909. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to those who helped her most in her time of need: Pikes Peak Hospice 825 East Pikes Peak Ave. Colorado Springs, CO 80903 Or Faith Presbyterian Church 1529 North Circle Drive, Colorado Springs, CO 80909
