Liz introduced me to Orff soon after I graduated from Washburn. She has had a great influence on my life and the teacher I am today. I just used some of her Grandmother Flute activities 2 weeks ago with my 3rd graders and they loved it! I just found out today (9-15-12) about her passing. She was a great Orff pioneer and more importantly a great person! I always loved when I would get to visit her. She will be missed.

I was fortunate enough to have been one of the flute students Betty influenced with her teaching and her caring guidance. She will always have a special place in my memory. Her last visit with us was to ride through our fields of daffodils, here in Auburn, KS. Rose Hubbard Smith

Topeka and Colorado Springs are blessed to have had Grandmother Flute Player as a resident. Her legacy of music, encouragement, and love lives on, as does she, now a free spirit. We bless you on your way, Liz.
