Elizabeth Preiss Obituary

Elizabeth B. Preiss was born in Sterling, Scotland to Gavin B. and Elizabeth H. Weir on February 13, 1911. She was a member of the Bethel Lutheran Church. Elizabeth belonged to the Winslow Court Happy Hookers, who have crocheted over 5,000 baby Afghans for the Memorial Hospital Nursery. Elizabeth is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lois and Joe Wooton; sister, Agnes Engels; niece and husband Nancy and George Kramer, and a great nephew Erik Kramer. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Carl Preiss; grandson Thomas Wooton; brother Robert Weir; and sisters Janet Allen and Maria Hibbert. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Memorial service to be held on Wednesday, May 12, 2010, 11:00 A.M. at Bethel Lutheran Church, 4925 Farmingdale Dr. (Off of Austin Bluffs).
