Elizabeth (Liz) Cristine Reich, 73, of Cranston, Rhode Island passed away on May 31, 2023, at Brentwood Nursing Home in Warwick, Rhode Island. She was the wife of the late Steven Kenneth Reich.
Liz was a fierce lover of animals, travel, and adventure, as well as being an avid reader. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandma. She spent over 25 years as a labor, delivery and newborn nurse in Colorado Springs, Colorado and counseled families experiencing perinatal loss. Liz completed her nursing career providing care as a chemotherapy infusion nurse. She graduated from Las Animas High School and earned her LPN at La Junta Mennonite School of Nursing. She was born in Las Animas, and was the daughter of the late Eulalia Sandoval and Ben Esquibel.
She is survived by her children, Erik Mondragon of Colorado Springs, CO and Jeanette Kubik of Colorado Springs, CO, and her grandchildren Paige Hopper, Brandi Gomez, David Laffler Jr., Kaleb Liberick and Gavin and Emerson Mondragon. Liz is also survived by her great grandchild Lenyx Lee, as well as stepsons Reuben (Carly) Reich of Bristol and his children, Liam and Brigitta, and Samuel Reich of Fort Collins, CO and his children, Jaya and Roan. Liz was the sister of Margaret Richmond, Dorothy Oviedo, Donald Esquibel, Eddie Esquibel and the late Gene Esquibel.
