Beth and I worked together in the 80s. We were more than coworkers, we were close friends - we vacationed together, shopped together, knitted together We kept in touch by phone and letter after she moved to Colorado but I never made it out there to visit. As can happen, we lost touch, but I thought of her all the time, and told stories about her to my friends; just last week I was talking about a vacation we took together. I’ve been thinking about her all day, and went to hop on Facebook to wish her a happy birthday and even thought, with the state of the world as it is, that today was the day I would just call her. I had no idea she was ill, nor that she had passed. I’m so unbelievably sad. I think I will regret letting our friendship fade for a very long time.

I worked with Beth at Fedex and a previous employer for a number of years. She was my hallway cube neighbor for 12 years. I always enjoyed the conversation of a variety of topics with her, that varied from a new book, some new foodie thing, or something to watch that was done well. It was part my daily routine that meant more to me than I realized. Personally and professionally I will miss her and her friendship. My condolences to her family and friends.

Oh Beth, I was just thinking about you a few days ago. You fought hard and I am so sorry to hear of your passing. Sending you and your family love.
