Elizabeth Sullivan Obituary

Mae was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado on February 3, 1921 to Everett and Mattie Potter. She was one of 6 children. She graduated from Palmer High School in 1939. Mae married John D. Sullivan in 1947. They were married for 44 years until Jack passed away in 1991. Mae and Jack had four children, Barbara Sullivan, Michael Sullivan, Patricia Harper and Rebecca Craig.

Mae is a lifetime member of VFW Post 4051 in Colorado Springs. She worked as a receptionist for James V. Carris for many years. Jack and Mae lived in Colorado Springs

until 1986 when they moved to Grand Junction, Colorado. She enjoyed bowling and playing bingo.

Her survivors include a brother, Everett (Roy) Potter (Ines) of Delta, Colorado, two daughters, Patricia Harper of Grand Junction, Colorado and Becky Craig (Jimmy) of Leawood, Kansas, daughter-in-law, Shirley Sullivan of Phoenix, Arizona, ten grandchildren, Shelley LaBelle, Michelle Hansen (Todd), Jeffrey Watts (Cathy), Richard Harper (Minde), Kris Evers, Jenny Karpinski (John), Joe Craig (Teri), Robert Connor,

Cindi Connor and LoraLee Daniels (Lane) and fourteen great-grandchildren: Danielle, Miranda, Brandon (Holly), Cameron, Zachrey, Sara, Nathan, Jac, Sam, Ryan, Kaitlyn,

Jack, Anthony and Dylan, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Mae was preceded in death by her mother and father, Everett and Mattie, two sisters, Violet and Evalena, two brothers, Clarence and Woodrow, her husband, Jack, a son

Michael, a daughter Barbara and a great-grandson, Peter.

Burial will be in Colorado Springs at a later date. Donations may be made to HopeWest Hospice of Grand Junction, 3090B North 12th Street, Grand Junction, CO 81506 or Larchwood Inns 2845 North 15th, Grand Junction, CO 81506.

Dear Pat, Richard, Kaitlyn and Peanut. Lola and Deb so miss seeing dear Mae and family in the entryway at Larchwood. Mae was an inspiration at nearly 95! You are a lovely family and we send unlimited blessings to you and yours.
