Helen,
This was a beautiful article. I am sorry to hear of Elmer's passing yet it sounds like a life well lived. I hope you take comfort in all the wonderful adventures you had together.
I have missed you and am appreciating that this article has reconnected me with you and your family. At least, I hope it will reconnect us. When you return to a quieter time I would love to hear from you. Until then, be gentle with yourself. My memories are of an amazing aunt and her awesome courage to sail the seas! both you and Elmer were amazing.
