Elscildean Wingard Obituary

Elscildean Wingard was born on April 20, 1930 in Yates Center, KS. She moved to Denver, Colorado in 1961 and Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1971. She married Kenneth D Wingard on September 24, 1970 in Las Vegas, NV. Dean died on November 30th of complications from surgery and MRSA at Pikes Peak Hospice. She is survived by four children, Dawn Creighton of Glendale, AZ; Deborah Hamacher (Gerald Espinoza) of Colorado Springs; Garry (Johncie) Wingard of Colorado Springs and Greg (Muriel) Wingard of New Castle, CA. Dean had six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Jack L. Walters of Marietta, GA. Dean worked in the banking industry as a loan officer from the early 1950s. More recently she worked as a commercial loan officer at United Bank in both Denver and Colorado Springs then retired from Wells Fargo Bank in 1995. She also worked as a loan compliance officer at Cheyenne Mountain Bank until 2005. Dean was always known for her sunny disposition, her cheerful smile, eternal optimism and force of will. She was an amazing mother, a loyal friend, a fierce advocate for those in need of her services, a wise woman and a devoted and loving wife. Viewing will be on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am with services to begin at 10:30 am. Services will be held at Springs Community Church 7290 Lexington Dr, Colorado Springs, CO 80918. There will also be a private graveside service for immediate family. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Springs Community Church in Dean's name.

Dean will be missed by so many. A lady, a delightful lady at all times, very professional in her work, always considerate of others. She emitted sunshine everyplace she was. So sorry for your loss.
