Emma Percival

June 28, 1946

March 12, 2022

Emma Percival (Rogers) went to be with her Lord on March 12, 2022 at the age of 75.

Emma was born in White Hall, Illinois to Eugene Rogers and Evelyn Brownell. Emma is predeceased by parents Bernard and Evelyn Brownell, Eugene Rogers and son Terry Percival.

Emma (Nana) met Larry (Papa) in Vacaville, CA, and they were married on June 19, 1968 in Reno, Nevada.

Emma is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Larry Percival. Lovingly remembered by son Danny Van-Dalsen, daughter Lisa (Kyle) Wright, brother Steve (Angie) Rogers; grandchildren Brittany (Kevin) Percival-Bunje, Brooke (Sam) Percival, McKenzy Simmons, Colleen Simmons-Wright, and Tristen Percival; great-grandchildren Kaiden Bunje, Kyler Bunje, Axton Messamer, and Alastor Frampton.

Emma was everyone's "Nana". Her house was always full of her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins of her grandchildren and all the neighborhood kids. No matter who was in need Emma was always the first to lend a helping hand. Her love for her family was seen in her every action. Emma and Larry also loved all their animals from the dogs and cats to the little barnyard crew of chickens and ducks. Emma would also raise ridiculously large turkeys for Thanksgiving each year! "Nana's" favorite pastime was spending time with family and taking pictures at family get-togethers. She had a way of showing everyone what unconditional love looked like and this world will be a darker place without her.

Services will be held on Tuesday, March 22 at The Shrine of Remembrance in Colorado Springs 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., 80910. There will be a viewing at 9:00 am with services to follow at 10:00 am

We were blessed to have known Emma and share our lives during USAF days. We have special memories to forever treasure. She was a loyal friend, an encourager, a supporter, and always ready to offer a helping hand. Emma brought laughter in our lives and she made you feel special and loved. We are so sorry for your loss. R.I.P. dear sweet lady.

Although my husband and I never met Emma we happily added her to our group of shih tzu lovers. We enjoyed her pictures, posts, and she was a valued, loving member of our group. She will be missed by our group. God bless, may your memories of Emma fill the emptiness her passing has left.

To Larry and the entire family of Nana,

We are so sorry for your loss ... Nana was a wonderful and loving person! We know she will be greatly missed by many! Her suffering is over ... now she is alive and well in Heaven because of her acceptance of Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior! I know she longs to see all of her loved ones again in Heaven one future day! May God comfort you at this difficult time and remember ... she is Home in Heaven with her Lord!

Instead of sending flowers, as you all know, she had a great love for animals ... so that's why I chose to donate to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in her Honor.
