Eric Beamish Obituary
Eric was born May 1, 1985, in Minnesota, the son of Edward Beamish and Cynthia (Ericson) Beamish. The family moved to Colorado Springs when Eric was young. He attended Thomas B. Doherty High School and the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, graduating with highest distinction with a B.A. in history in 2012. He worked his way up to assistant manager for Sherwin-Williams. Eric achieved the rank of sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps, serving from 2007-11, with deployments in both Iraq and Afghanistan.
Eric married Jauni Nova on June 25, 2010, in Manitou Springs, Colo. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Colorado Law School in May 2016. He worked as an appellate law clerk at the Colorado Court of Appeals.
Eric is remembered as a man of integrity and character, who always made time for a friend. He had a bright mind, a biting wit and a kind soul. Eric always pushed the importance of education and challenged himself and others to be the best they could be. He was generous with his time, his good humor and his strong bear hugs.
Eric is survived by his wife, Jauni Nova Beamish; father, Edward Beamish; mother, Cynthia Gattis; brothers Josiah Beamish, Dallas Gattis and Robert Beamish; sister, Cambria Beamish; stepbrothers Allan Klingbeil and Nick (Pamela) Gattis; stepmother, Kelly Klingbeil; mother- and father-in-law, Donna and Paul Kramer; sister-in-law, Treena (Oscar) Silva; grandparents Ardis Beamish, and Dennis and Noella Ericson; aunts, uncles and many cousins; and special friends the Bennett family.
He was preceded in death by grandfather George Beamish.
Memorial service: 10:45 a.m. Monday, Dec. 12, 2016, at Denver First Church, 3800 E. Hampden Ave., Cherry Hills Village, Englewood, Colo. 80113, in the Fellowship Hall, with visitation starting at 10 a.m. A brief military honors ceremony follows at 12:15 p.m. at Fort Logan National Cemetery, with a reception luncheon back at the church following.

Eric was my daughter's classmate and she shared many fond memories of how smart he was, caring, funny, amazing integrity and genuine in his friendship. I continue to light a candle each night for strength and courage for Jauni. People she has never met are joining me in sending love and prayers.
