Eric Carl Johnson left this Earth to join his son, Carl Eric Johnson, in Heaven in the early morning of January 31st, 2024.
Eric was born in Cleveland, Ohio on March 28th, 1950.
Eric became a resident in 1978 and planted his roots as an established, honest auto mechanic and served his community as such ever since. Near the end of his 45-year career, he successfully and independently ran his own business, Eric's Automotive, for five years until his retirement in 2016. Eric's two children, Carl and Sara; and three grandkids Ella, Jaxon and Ryan, were the center of his world and everyone knew that. He had a gentle demeanor and was the definition of easy going; his humble heart, warm smile and long conversations will be missed immensely.
He is survived by his daughter, Sara Johnson, 37; and three grandchildren, Ella Jean, 18, Jaxon Carl, 12, and Ryan Renee, 9.
He was preceded in death by his son Carl Johnson; parents, Lois and Henry; and brother and sister, Nels and Gale Johnson.
Services, 11:00AM, Friday, February 16, 2024, The Anchor Church, 802 Bonfoy Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80909.
