I was so sorry to hear of Eric's passing. He and my son, Jonathan Slack, spent many hours together either at your home or ours. He always was a joy to be around. I often thought of him after his accident and was delighted to learn he had a good quality of life. Know that you and your family will be in my prayers.

What a blessing Eric has been in my son Ben's life through BrainCare! We will always be thankful for how Eric reached out and truly befriended him. He was a real gentleman, and leaves such a legacy of kindness. Our condolences for your loss, and we are praying for your peace in this difficult season.

To Eric's family: I am so sorry for your loss, and was saddened to learn of Eric's passing. My name is Sue Marion. I was Eric's counselor at BrainCare from 2013 to 2015. I got to know him well, along with his Soaring House family. I saw how hard he worked to find peace, happiness, and hope in everyday experiences, despite the frustrations caused by his injury. With me, he was always joyous, respectful, and grateful for whatever I did for him. I used to bring my dog Buddy to work with me, and Eric loved that dog! He even took a picture of Buddy to keep for himself. Even though its been over two years since I saw Eric, he's stayed in my heart, and was one of those clients I've remembered with fondness.
Since I left BrainCare I've worked as a grief counselor at Pikes Peak Hospice. I wanted you to know that we offer grief support for everyone in the community, not only our hospice families, at no fee. We would be honored to provide counseling for anyone in Eric's circle of family and friends (including kids) if and when there's a need.
My heart is with you all. Take good care of yourselves.

Lucky me knowing Eric and all of you for almost 30 years. Having him part of our Lincoln family, Eric always brought light and happiness to all of us. His smile contagious, he's caring obvious, and his trust a gift for of those who were fortunate to be on the staff at Lincoln Elementary School.
Thank you for all you have done to support those of us who touched Eric's life. You have always been an advocate for everyone who needed anything. You have dedicated many hours and acts of kindness to all of us and others who needed the support because of challenges.
I send heartfelt healing thoughts to all of you and thank you for keeping me in your life for so many years
With love,
Jeanne
