Dear Eileen,
So sorry to hear of your loss.
You danced with me when Eric was little, and I remember the tales you would tell. I am still in town and would love to hear from you.

Through the loss of Eric, it has been a reminder to live each day like it was your last, forgive, appreciate all that is good in your life, don't waste precious time, and stop to look at a sunrise or sunset, and just breathe.

Eileen, I was saddened to hear of your loss. I didn't know Eric as a man, but as one of my son's friends. My Jeremy, your Eric, and Eric Sample were such good friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I truly want to say a special thank you to Joe Hawkes, one of Eric's best friends. Best friends are hard to find these days, but Eric found in Joe a special kinship, brotherhood, "have your back" friendship that is like no other. Without your kindness, support and love, I never would have gotten through this tragedy, and Joe, words can never express how thankful to God I am for you and am proud to call you a Friend and "adopted son" Although it is difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, your caring spirit and selfless heart truly are appreciated. I was deeply saddened by the loss of your father, so soon after Eric's death and your willingness to help me in your time of need will never be forgotten. I will always cherish you!

A quiet sadness moves through me, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch. You left this earth so soon and you left me before I was ready to say goodbye, but little by little I remember that not just that you died, but that you LIVED and your life gave me memories too beautiful to forget. God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be, so He put his arms around you and whispered, Come to Me. Although I loved you dearly, I could not make you stay. Your dearly departed Father was with you, as you wonderfully let me know. God broke my heart to prove to me that He only takes the BEST - rest in eternal peace my beloved son.
