Erick John Keck, 47, of Colorado Springs, CO passed away due to complications from diabetes which he suffered from most of his life.
Erick was born August 7, 1974 in Ft Dodge, IA. As a child he moved with his parents to Colorado Springs where he received his education. He graduated high school from Colorado Springs Christian School where he excelled in sports, mainly baseball. He was very active in youth group activities at Bethel Lutheran Church where he was confirmed in 1990.
Erick was preceded in death by his father, Donald, and several aunts, uncles, and grandparents. He is survived by his mother, Marilyn, Colorado Springs; 2 brothers, Timothy Keck, Colorado Springs, and Steven Keck, Denver, sister Kimberly Holcomb, Huntersville, NC; 2 nieces, Alexandria Tessari and Amelia Keck; 1 grandniece, Bradley, several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A small memorial service will be held at Pikes Peak Care Center on Saturday, August 13 at 11am. An additional memorial service will be held at the VFW (702 S Tejon St) on Saturday, August 20 at 3pm. Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery in Ft Dodge, IA at a later date. Erick was loved by all and will be missed.

Erick was an amazing person with always a kind word to offer.
We met in high school and were friends after...he always had a huge smile and and a laugh that was irresistible. He will be missed.
My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.
