Ernest Kelly Obituary

Born in Holdenville, Oklahoma and now peacefully in Heaven. Survived by his loving wife, 3 brothers, 11 children/step children, 11 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson and dog Charlie. "Ernie" courageously fought in the Korean War, US Army, and a highly decorated soldier who loved and supported numerous organizations: "Kelly's Hero's" at Long Beach Veterans Hospital in CA; Past Commander, Military Order of the Purple Heart; Disabled American Veterans; American Legion; Veterans of Foreign Wars; Forty and Eight; Cooties; and BSA. His name is engraved on the Purple Heart Monument at Memorial Park, dedicated by Ernie in 1998 and engraved, "All Gave Some, Some Gave All." Ernie donated 25,000+ hours of community service in honor of his fellow veterans. A "brick" was dedicated to him and placed in the "Walk of Honor." His loving generosity and cheerfulness touched so many people. May his laughter always be heard and his love felt in our hearts forever. A loving husband, great father, fun-spirited grandfather and loyal friend to everyone, he will be deeply missed. Private service. Future burial Ft. Logan National Cemetery. Donations may be made in his name to NEADS.org.
