Ernest McCarey Obituary

Ernest Charles McCarey, Jr., born October 14, 1920 in Pueblo went to his heavenly home with his Lord Jesus Christ and to united once again with his loving wife, Margaret on April 3, 2008. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Margaret; parents, Ernest C. and Catherine McCarey and sister, Margaret E. Concialdi. Ernest and Margaret were married on September 14, 1949, for 58 years. Survived by daughters, Gail (Larry) Garner and Cheryl (Mike) Arrigo; grandchildren, Mark (Amanda) Garner, Amie Garner, Laurie (Mitch) Haugen, John Garner, Barbra (Angel) Espinosa and Michael Arrigo and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Donation may be made to Mount St. Francis Nursing Home through the funeral home office. The family wished to thank all of the staff of St. Francis Nursing Center for all their special care of our father. A special thank you to Helen, Janet and Alisha. They also want to thank Colorado Springs Imaging Center, Vickie Newman and her staff, Brad Noonan, Chaplain, The Colorado Springs Fire Department, Colorado Springs Police Officer, Kris Stoa and Father Jeff from St. Peter's Catholic Church in Monument for their kindness and compassion. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, 10:30am at Christ the King Church in Pueblo. Interment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery with Military Honors by the Pueblo Veterans Ritual Team. Funeral arrangements under the direction of George McCarthy Funeral Home.

It was such a priviledge to care for Ernie. He was such a sweet and kind man. I know your hearts ache, especially to lose him so soon after your mother.He is reunited with her now and they are both whole and complete. My prayers are with you
